By Car:
From whichever direction you approach Skipton, take the by-pass (A629/A59). Travel
around the by-pass until you reach the Gargrave Road roundabout (signposted
Kendal, A65). At this roundabout, turn towards Skipton town centre. Drive
towards Skipton for about 0.5km and you will see the entrance to Skipton Academy
on the
right. There will be a large banner advertising the Exhibition at the
entrance to the school driveway. Please follow the notices inside the grounds advising
you where to park.
We will keep parking places close to the entrance to the exhibition
available for disabled visitors. Please do not park there unless you are a blue
badge holder. Access to all parts of the Exhibition is
available for disabled visitors though access routes are not always obvious. The
door person will advise you.
By train:
On leaving the station building, cross Broughton Road and proceed straight ahead
on Carleton New Road. Go up the hill, passing the Magnet store on your left, and
across the canal bridge at the top of the short hill. Go straight forward
through the entrance gate to Aireville Park. Follow the footpath you are now on
for about 600m and you will pass the swimming bath on your left and arrive at
Skipton Academy.
By bus:
Leave the bus at the bus station. Turn left along Keighley Road towards Skipton
town centre. Turn left again on Swadford Street (the first major left turn).
Continue along Swadford Street, which changes its name to Belmont Street and
then to Broughton Road, until you reach the railway station on your left. From
there, follow the instructions for "By train" above.
